BDL System by Eyelash Emporium: The Ultimate Guide to Perfect Brow Lamination

Posted by Hair Hype on

Brow Lamination is the hottest beauty trend that has taken the industry by storm. It's a two-part treatment that uses chemical solutions to manipulate and straighten the growth pattern of brow hairs, setting them into a new shape. This low-maintenance treatment results in symmetrical, full brows that can last up to 8 weeks. In this blog, we'll walk you through the process of eyebrow lamination and share some tips to help you achieve the perfect brows for your clients.

  1. Consultation & Patch Test:

Before starting any beauty treatment, it's essential to have a thorough consultation with your client. This allows you to assess their brow hairs and determine what looks are achievable through brow lamination. It also helps you understand their expectations from the treatment. Don't forget to perform a patch test to identify any potential allergies or reactions to the product used during the eyebrow lamination treatment.

  1. Preparation:

If your client has sensitive skin, apply a thin coat of petroleum jelly around the brow area to act as a barrier. For coarse hair, use a small amount of GDL bonder to set the brows in place before the treatment.

  1. Scene 1 – Relaxing The Brows:

Begin by applying Scene 1 with a micro applicator to the brows, starting at the root and working up to the tips. Start at the middle section where the hair is typically longer and coarser. Cover the brows with cling film to add warmth and activate the product. Leave it on for the appropriate time based on our Timing Guidelines.

  1. Remove Scene 1:

Once the appropriate time has passed, remove Scene 1 using a damp cotton wool pad.

  1. Scene 2 – Set Brow Hairs:

Apply Scene 2 to the brow hairs with micro applicators and leave on for the correct time according to our Timing Guidelines. As this is a neutralizing product, warmth is not required, so cling film is unnecessary.

  1. Remove Scene 2:

Remove the solution with a damp cotton wool pad once the appropriate time has passed.

  1. Tint / Wax / Thread:

At this stage, if your clients wish to have their eyebrows tinted, waxed, or threaded, it's the perfect time. Apply the tint to the root only and brush through the brows with a silicone mascara wand. Leave it on for 1-3 minutes.

  1. Finishing Touches:

To ensure the eyebrow hairs remain in good health, apply a nourishing serum over the brows using a cotton bud and style as required.

Conclusion:

Brow Lamination is a game-changer for those seeking perfect brows with minimal effort. Offering this treatment to your clients will help them achieve the most sought-after beauty treatment of the year.
